How to Make a California Sushi Roll with Chef Kaz
Written Instructions:
· First take a bamboo mat and wrap it with plastic film so the rice won't stick. Place the bamboo mat on top of a cutting board.
· Take a rectangle piece of seaweed and place the shiny side down on the mat.
· Grab a handful of your cooked white rice - 3 oz. (or the size of a lemon) and spread it evenly onto the seaweed.
· Sprinkle sesame seed onto the rice.
· Flip the rice and seaweed over and place freshly cut avocados, snow crabmeat and cucumber.
· Place thumbs under bamboo mat, lift mat and roll over the top with your fingers, pushing downward. Roll it again while squeezing with your fingers. Smooth from center to end as you roll a final time.
· Take sushi roll and cut into 6 pieces.
· Add wasabi and ginger to taste.
